Meeting summary, March 14, 2010.

The meeting was held at the Masonic Lodge in Deposit, NY. The regular activities of raffles, 50/50, self introductions and the reading of the last meeting's minutes were taken care of. Then we went over the next few meeting's information. The April meeting will be at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Syracuse. A quick change in venue had to happen with the unexpected closing of the Plainville buffet. Details of the safari to be held with headquarters in Lyndonville, Vt. were discussed. Donna stated that she will not be able to head the safari after this year and is looking for someone to take over this responsibility. The June meeting will be at the Oxford Memorial Library in Oxford, NY at which time there will be a presentation on the plans and progress of the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center. The new brochure for the Society was presented after much hard work by Dave Guay and Marcia Bailey. If you are in a position of being able to spread the word about the Society and want some brochures, please contact Marcia. The Society library and other subsequent donations are in the process of being listed for the sale of these books.  We had a discussion about the 45th anniversary calendar and the photo contest for that calendar.  We then had a limited amount of bridge news and news of members. Dick Bailey ended the meeting with a presentation of the covered bridges in Virginia.
