July 8, 2012 was our picnic at the Shushan Covered Bridge. We had a quorom for the first time since April so we caught up on the necessary business. We went over upcoming meetings and events including the upcoming Blenheim Art Walk on July 15th. A discussion was held about doing a couple of minor by-laws changes regarding the number of people necessary to constitute a quorom since our membership has dropped substantially and also about the number of publications we put out a year and the corresponding expenses. No news was presented on Tuscarora Club or Blenheim. The bids were to be in by June 29th for the abuttment work for Halls Mills and the work to begin in August. A letter was read from the town of Neversink supervisor, Mark McCarthy that was sent to the Sullivan County DPW about the fact that the bids were not being done for laid stone abutments. We had quite a bit of member news including that your president and recording secretary were given their first trip to Copeland by Dick and Marcia Bailey and Carol and Dave Frantz. Bob and Jill are loving Tennessee. Bob Kuether and Ginny Eyrich are having health concerns and Dave and Marikka's daughter Rebecca is pregnant with their 5th grandchild. We had a great picnic and access to the Covered Bridge Museum thanks to Doug Gordon and the folks at the Shushan CB Association
