Meeting Summary, June 14, 2009 Lee Town Hall, Rome, NY
Jeanette Wilson secured our meeting place for a short business meeting and an auction of some of Dick Wilson’s collection. Secretary’s minutes and Treasurer’s report were left for the next meeting. The upcoming meetings were discussed with reservations needed to get into Marty Hornung for the Lockport Locks meeting in August. The Beaverkill campground will stay open this summer on a shortened schedule with the cooperation of the DEC and Sullivan County. Donna has a list of covered bridge festivals throughout the country if anyone has vacation plans and wants to know if anything will be going on near them. Events for the rest of the day were the above mentioned auction from which Jeanette made a $110 donation to the Society and following the auction we went to the cemetery to see the headstone that donations to the Dick Wilson Memorial Fund purchased followed with a quiet dedication.
