The meeting was run by very capable 1st. vice president, Alice Bader and assisted with the minutes by very capable Karen Marshfield. Donna Freeland is going through some serious health problems and Linda Schott was having some family health issues so neither could be at the meeting. 14 members and 2 guests attended the meeting.

    After the reading of the minutes and the treasurer's report, everyone got caught up on health issues of Donna, Marty Hornung and Dave Guay. Members were reminded of upcoming events and meetings. The annual auction will be held on Sept. 11th at the Hamden Town Hall. It is asked that donations be limited to 10 items of good resale value. Bring your own lunch and refreshments will be provided by the Marshfields. Please remember this is our largest fund raising activity of the year.

    A report on the Safari was done by Alice Bader with suggestions for next year tossed around.

    The 2012 calendar has been proofed, ordered and delivered and is available now from Donna Freeland. If you are not going to be at a meeting you can get in touch with Donna and shipping will be $3. for 1, $5. for up to 3 and the cost of the calendar is again $10.
