November 2016

November Dinner Meeting November 13, 2016 Hamden Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, Hamden, NY

The meeting was called to order after another Thanksgiving feast prepared by Karen and Wayne Marshfield, Marcia Bailey and Stephanie and Dave Marshfield.

The agenda was kind of scrambled with the reading of the minutes and treasurer’s reports. A brief synopsis was given of the year including the fact that our attendance was up by 3 with 2 less meetings this year. Hyde Hall CB made it to #6 in the USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Travel Award Contest. New and updated info on our bridges have been submitted to the woman working on our webpage. We will await the results of the problems with the signs on the highway. A report was given on our set up at Perrine’s CB on Oct. 23rd during Ulster County Cultural Heritage Week which saw over 125 people come by.

The slate of officers was presented and passed. We have several new people coming into office including Wayne Marshfield as president, Gretchen Bronke as 1st VP, Stephanie Marshfield as recording secretary and Anita Baldwin as a trustee.

By-laws changes were presented, modified and voted on. If a member wants a copy of the new by-laws, please request from Wayne Marshfield.

A proposed schedule was presented, tentative until finalized. As each date is finalized, it will be posted on the website and also in the Newsletter in the spring. One tentative change that is being looked into is the Safari on the 3rd weekend in September in Bedford and Somerset Co. PA with a side trip to the 9-11 memorial.

A small update on bridges and members was followed by our raffle and 50/50s and that closed our meeting in time for most members to be able to go on their way in daylight
